This line of deep groove ball bearings can be referred to as “conventional bearings,” as it is the most commonly found type on the market and serves the sole purpose of performing the rotational function of the mechanism in which it is used.

VICAN stainless steel bearings, like any other stainless steel deep groove ball bearings, are not designed to improve performance or achieve significant gains in durability.
Due to physicochemical treatments, stainless steel stands out for being more resistant to oxidation compared to other metal alloys, such as chrome steel. This makes stainless steel bearings an excellent option for those seeking great cost-effectiveness.

However, it is important to emphasize that this material is “resistant to” oxidation, not “oxidation-proof.” Lack of proper care during storage, cleaning, or lubrication may cause corrosion due to material contamination.

VICAN Stainless Steel bearings are manufactured using two types of stainless steel in their components:

• Races or Rings – Stainless Steel 440

• Balls – Stainless Steel 440

• Cage – Stainless Steel 304

• Shield – Stainless Steel 440 (when applicable)

Stainless steel bearings must always be properly lubricated to ensure good performance and protection against possible oxidation. We recommend using our special fluids for proper cleaning and lubrication of this type of material.
